In home Design Consultation

My inhouse design consultations are perfect for anyone looking for some design guidance to bounce ideas off so you can go and tackle the bulk of the project yourself or it can be the first step in a full home design -service design package, where you engage me to design and manage all the ordering and trades on site till the completion.

I come out to your home and you can ask as many questions as you like for 1 - 2 hours (maximum). I bring along my measuring tape and paint fan deck. If you require further help with tile selections, cabinetry colours make sure you have these at the consultation.

Some ideas of what I can help with at the consultation are;

•   Looking at your homes northern aspect and assess where you could add extra windows or openings to create more natural light, which in turn will add significant value to the quality of your renovation or new home build. Discuss other design techniques for naturally cooling and warming your home

•   Discuss new flooring ideas and options.

•   Choose all the paint colours for a whole house.

•   Determine furniture layouts for irregularly shaped rooms.

•   Suggest suitable window treatment styles that match the rooms architectural style.

•   Provide guidance on additional lighting requirements.

•   Make suggestions regarding furniture styles

•   Measure up rooms for purpose of producing floor plans

•   Suggest improvements to the front exterior of your home.

•   Discuss suppliers to visit ( these will be retail suppliers) if you are wanting wholesale suppliers with discounts on furniture and selections this is part of my full home design service.

How it works:

You can pay via Credit Card or request an invoice and pay by internet transfer, payment will be required before the consultation can be booked. I come out to your home and offer my design advice, we can go through each room to discuss your needs and I'll make suggestions. While I'm making suggestions I will be writing down my notes in the Consult assessment sheet, in which I pass to you at the completion of the consult. Otherwise, if you require further design help this document forms the foundation of the design brief, which I will use to create a proposal of design works.

I will endeavour to answer all your questions within the time allocated, if you need further time and help with more detailed design work such as architectural drawings, design layouts and elevations of kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, living rooms, bedrooms, lighting plan, mood boards with furniture and styling requirements these items will need to be quoted within a proposal of design works.
